One of the things that I am learning through my Anthropological studies is how to be a better observer. My ART420 Filming class has given me a renewed interest in how people talk, the flow of conversation and body postures during them.
Today, I was at the top of the American River College garage when two enthusiastic youths pulled up. Reread that last sentence in Joe Pesci’s voice from My Cousin Vinny and it is hilarious. They were discussing cars and I have absolutely no real.knowledge or passion for them. So I was paying attention and noticed the review side mirror and snorted.
For some reason this was hilarious, probably because I think the majority of freeway drivers think this way. Then he removed his steering wheel from the car. Not because his car was awesome but because the modifications are.
I wonder if this guy has fears someone.might steal his car and that is why he chose to use the drive through window at Starbucks.
Speaking of Starbucks, this is Sarah and she is a part-time barista at the Starbucks where I study. She is 17 and already such an amazing person and her parents should be proud. Ok back to my physical anthropology homework: primates. I got this.
